Today, we are welcoming a small, but very important update.
We changed our policy on Elixirs of Youth.
About Elixir of Youth
Elixir of Youth — makes a Cutie one generation younger. For example, Gen 2 will become Gen 1 after drinking it.
Historically it has been one of the most valuable consumables in the game. Players made Gen 0s from their strongest Cuties, bred them to make more fighters, and gave rise to powerful armies as a result.
Elixir of Youth was available in Paw Shop for Paw Coins — an in-game currency you can get by playing.
But due to Paw Coin farming scripts, we needed to take measures to protect this valuable commodity.
Removing generations is no small feat, so in bad hands, a significant number of Elixirs of Youth can easily crash the market for everyone.
New Elixirs of Youth
The original Elixir of Youth will no longer be sold for Paw Coins.
This item is now available in Paw Shop for about 7 dollars in the cryptocurrency of your choice.
Not it is called Pure Elixir of Youth, and it is the only potion that can turn your Cutie into Gen 1 or Gen 0.
But we still want to show appreciation to our active players. So we added two more Elixirs that you can get for Paw Coins.
Distilled Elixir of Youth
Distilled Elixir of Youth is available in Paw Shop for 10’000 Paw Coins.
This elixir makes a Cutie one generation younger, and you can reduce Cutie generations down to Gen 2.
For example, it will make a Gen 5 into Gen 4, but it will not make Gen 2 into Gen 1.
Spiked Elixir of Youth
Spiked Elixir of Youth is available in Paw Shop for 5’000 Paw Coins.
This elixir makes a Cutie one generation younger, and you can reduce Cutie generations down to Gen 5.
For example, it will make a Gen 7 into Gen 6, but it will not make Gen 5 into Gen 4.
We believe that you will come to appreciate this decision in the long run.
This move is part of our efforts to defend and stabilize Cutielands economy. We understand that this decision will not be the most popular in the short run, but the long term effects of it will benefit everyone.
Good luck, Cutieneers! Stay tuned for more updates.
