The Hound of Hades. Cerberus is the guardian of the passage between the world of the living and the dead. Writers and scholars give him varying descriptions, from a hundred dog heads to one dog head surrounded by hundreds of snakeheads. In reality, Cerberus wields three vicious heads with a venomous snake for his tail. But only some unfortunate souls see the Hound of Hades in the flesh.
